The auditorium at Parkland High School was packed Feb. 12 with fans of the Mr. Parkland competition.
Returning after a year’s hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event, the 25th anniversary of the contest, was especially enjoyable for contestants and fans alike.
Ten seniors started the evening with an opening group dance followed by the swimsuit contest.
Next was the talent contest with each young man showing his unique skill.
Following the talent contest, it was time for the formal wear presentation and the individual dances.
C.E. Roth Formal Wear provided all the apparel for both the contestants and their escorts.
This year’s Mr. Parkland is Jared Sussman. First runner-up is Noah Rode, and second runner up is Priyanshu Dey.
Class of 2022 Advisor Sarah Yenser crowned Sussman.
Celebrity judges included Andre Williams, former NFL running back and owner of AW Selvedge Denim; Landon Annoni, TikToker and fashion archivist; WFMZ 69 TV anchor Melanie Falcon and Joe Sibilia, The Joe Piscopo Show producer.
