Walter Strongow- ski, 74, of Whitehall, died Feb. 11, 2022. He was the husband of Rebecca S. (Hochmiller) Strongowski for 54 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Julius J. and Elizabeth L. (Nederostek) Strongowski.
He was in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.
He was a trainman and a conductor for Conrail from 1969 to 1996.
He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Northampton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David and companion Lisa Maurey; a daughter, Kim Brown and husband Michael; a son, Scott; two grandchildren, Rachel Perl and Austin Brown; two great-grandchildren, Julian Perl and Quinn Perl; two sisters, Janette Wagner and husband Larry and Rita Deutsch and husband Ronald; nieces; and nephews.
There will be a calling time 8:30-10:30 a.m. Feb. 19 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. Feb. 19 at the church, 2181 Washington Ave., Northampton.
