Theodore J. DeLong, 96, of Salisbury Township, died peacefully in his home Feb. 2, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Kratzer) DeLong, who died in 2017. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Melville and Verna (Searle) DeLong.
He attended the Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia.
He was self-employed for more than 25 years, owning DeLong’s Contracting, Pool Business and Plumbing until 1975.
He is survived by children, Teddy (Nellie), Garry (Anne), James (Carol), Maryann Boehm (Christopher) and Dorothy Keeler (Kevin); 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings, Kermit, Edna Held, twins Malcom and Melville and Joyce Kratzer.
Arrangements were made by the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
