Rodney “Rod” M. Rittenhouse, 56, of Allentown, formerly of Emmaus, died at home Feb. 2, 2022. Born in Easton, he was the son of Nancy (Martin) Barto and the late Harold W. Rittenhouse.
After growing up in Easton, he moved to Allentown and graduated from Emmaus High School, Class of 1983, where he ran cross-country. He was a great artist and his pictures were always displayed in the Emmaus High School showcase.
He was employed as a supervisor for Air Cargo at Lehigh Valley International Airport. Previously he worked as a production supervisor for Amazon for 12 years.
He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and taking care of his cars, detailing them often including his once owned 1964 Ford.
He enjoyed camping, outdoors and hiking on the Appalachian Trail. He had fond memories of his grandfather Howard who taught him how to hunt and fish. It was very important to Rod to live life honestly.
He is survived by his mother; stepfather, Larry G. Barto; a sister, Sherry A. and her husband, Greg Buchman. He was an uncle to Isabella and Gabe Buchman and Taylor Barto. He was predeceased by his father; grandparents, Howard and Mary Martin.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A visitation will be held 1:30 to 2 p.m. Feb. 19 in the funeral home.
