Mahlon “Peppy” T. DeLong, 88, of Walnutport, died Feb. 6, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Easton.
Born in Upper Macungie, he was a son of the late Roy and Edna (Stofflet) DeLong.
He was the owner of the Front Street Tavern, Catasauqua. Earlier, he worked at Bridesburg Foundry Company, Whitehall.
He was a licensed clown. He and his longtime companion were known as Peppy and Jellybean.
He is survived by his companion, Jeanne Lunsford; three sons, Richard and wife Sharon, James and wife Sue and Robert; a daughter, Rona; and a sister, Millie Vitovitch and husband Phil.
