Edith W. Foster, 102, of North Whitehall Township, died Feb. 4, 2022, at Riverton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Foster.

Born in Laurys Station, she was a daughter of the late Albert C. and Mary A. (Cunfer) Mantz.

She was a 1937 Northampton High School graduate.

She was a private seamstress and clothing maker for many years.

She was the eldest member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station, where she was part of the quilting group for many years.

She was a member of the Laurys Station Volunteer Fire Company auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda J. Schmall of North Whitehall Township; three grandsons, David and his wife Robin of Slatington, Michael of Whitehall Township and Dean and his wife Doris of North Whitehall Township; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister; and three brothers.
