Donald J. Todd, 88, of Lake Harmony, formerly of Emmaus and Orefield, died Feb. 9, 2022, at River View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Wilkes-Barre. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Szupper) Todd for 62 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Bessie V. (Laudenslager) Todd.
He was a 1952 graduate of Parkland High School and attended General Motors School.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era working in the Military Postal Service in Germany as a postal mail courier to the U.S. Consulates.
He owned and operated the former Todd’s Auto Body Shop in Orefield and the former Todd Maintenance in Lake Harmony before retiring.
He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Church, Lake Harmony, where he served as a Eucharistic minister.
He was a former member of the Emmaus Lions Club.
He enjoyed a lifelong love of horses, owning and caring for several throughout his life. He and his wife spent many happy hours riding their Palominos in the former Trexler Orchards.
He is survived by his wife.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Feb. 16 at St. Peter the Fisherman Church, 33 Trinity Circle, Lake Harmony. No calling hours. Arrangements were made the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. Schnecksville.
