Conditional use hearings held

The conditional use hearing was held for DADD Pizza at 1091 Mill Creek Road during the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting Feb. 3. The proposal is to operate a single brewing system and will not change the overall aspects of the already established business. If there is a need for expansion in the future, this will come back to the planning commission. The planning commission suggested the commissioners approve it and they did so.

Another conditional use hearing was held for Woodmont Properties, LLC Phase II. This is also known as the Allen Organ Redevelopment Plan, 3370 Route 100, Macungie. It is located in a mixed use zone.

The proposed plan includes carriage house apartments, accessory garages and two mixed use structures. There will also be a dog run, picnic area, a pocket park and stormwater management. This project was approved.

There was notice of a new trade name for RCN operating under the Astound Broadband and Astound Business Solutions. The RCN name will be used along with Astound during a transition period. There will be no changes to services.
