Alice E. “Allie” Rabenold, 86, of Macungie, died Feb. 12, 2022. She was the wife of the late Carl M. Rabenold for 64 years. Born in Allentown, she was one of eight children of the late Samuel J. and Mary (Donohue) McGovern.

She was a 1953 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and was employed as an organ builder for Allen Organ for 32 years, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown and enjoyed attending regularly.

She will be dearly missed by her family with whom she loved spending time along with her granddog, Jack. She enjoyed going to lunch at Wertz Cafe with her brother and sister-in-law and enjoyed playing the lottery scratch tickets. She was an avid football fan cheering on the Allentown Central Catholic High School sports teams, Notre Dame Fighting Irish football and the Philadelphia Eagles.

She is survived by a son, Timothy C. and his wife, Donna, of Macungie; grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony Reese and his wife, Carissa; great-grandchildren, Nolan and Emersyn; a brother, Daniel T. and his wife, Barbara, of Allentown; nieces; nephews.

Contributions may be made to an animal charity of choice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 17 in the church, 1825 W. Turner St. Calling will be 10 a.m. until the Mass. Arrangements are entrusted to the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
