BETHLEHEM ROTUNDA EXHIBIT: “A Unique Reality”, oil and watercolor paintings by Elena Shackleton, Feb. 16 to March 29. Opening reception: 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 27. THE CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY of the Greater Lehigh Valley launched on Jan. 31 a bi-monthly Image Recovery Program, sponsored by the Ryan Family Foundation. The program is designed to help women, men and children improve their body image and sense of self during and after cancer therapy. Topics include one-on-one support in; nutrition; fitness; post-surgical garment services; psychosocial support; and education focused on oral hygiene, skin care, hair care, holistic practices and other areas.

NMIH EXHIBIT: The Works of a Mechanical Genius: legacy of Bethlehem’s General Superintendent and Chief Engineer John Fritz. The innovative ironmaster, founder of the American Steel Industry, built and oversaw operations at the Bethlehem Iron Company from 1860-1893. Through October. A Lehigh & New England Railroad motor car is on display through the end of March at the National Museum of Industrial History, 620 E. Second St. There are plans to make the model 40B speeder car operational. Contributions to help fund the preservation of the car may be made via a donation box at the exhibit in the museum or by contacting the museum.
