The United States Air Force Heritage of America Band, Base Langley-Eustis, Va., and The Allentown Band will present a joint concert Valentine’s Day, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown. Ronald Demkee conducts the Allentown Band in Part 1 in a nod to Valentine’s Day with the Overture to Glinka’s “Russlan and Ludmilla,” selections from Giordano’s “Andrea Chenier,” and “Wedding Dance” from “Hasseneh” by Jacques Press. Met Opera mezzo-soprano Patricia Risley, above, of Allentown, will be featured in a medley of songs, “Singularly Streisand,” arranged by Ken Moyer. Capt. David Neil C. Regner will conduct the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band in Part 2 of selections to be announced. The bands will combine for the finale with patriotic selections, including “America the Beautiful” and a medley of the “Songs of the Armed Forces.” The concert is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Doors open at 6 p.m. Houser had three consecutive No. 1 hits from his album, “How Country Feels” (2013) and had a Top Five hit and Country Music Association “Song of the Year” nomination for “Like A Cowboy.” Houser added a fourth No. 1 song with “We Went” from “Fired Up” (2016).
