Members of Crossroads Community Church, 8501 Claussville Road, Fogelsville, sponsored a wild game dinner Jan. 29.
At one time, the building purchased by the church, was home to the Seipstown Grange.
The menu included a variety of wild game meat including venison, wild boar, turkey, goose, pheasant and duck.
Both appetizers and the main meal included most of these meats.
Many of the church members brought their deer head mounts, skeletal heads and complete animal mounts to show their skill at hunting.
Many of the animals were harvested with bow and arrow revealing a high level of skill and expertise on the part of the hunter.

During the Crossroads Community Church wild game dinner Gary Nielsen of Germansville showed the turkey he harvested in Bradford County.
Rick Stuby of Lowhill Township brought this mounted mule deer belonging to his father, Richard Sr., brought home from his Colorado hunt years ago.
Lynn Township's Danny Funk brought this 300-pound black bear home with him from LaTuque, Quebec, Canada. He used a bow and arrow on this hunt.
Scott Miller of Weisenberg Township brought down this atypical red fox with a bow in 1992. The fox was on display Jan. 29 at the Crossroads Community Church wild game dinner.

Crossroads Community Church Pastor Donnie Immel and wild game dinner organizer Steve Schoeniger worked together to make the dinner a success.
Guest speaker Carl Redding gave the keynote speech. Redding was a youth pastor, and lead pastor at Macomb Assembly in Illinois. He loves spending time in the outdoors bow hunting, skiing, kayaking and fishing. He uses the animal skulls in his sermons.
