Ellen P. Book Baldwin Moyer, 87, formerly of North Carolina and Schnecksville, died Feb. 3, 2022, in Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall.

She was the wife of Larry L. Moyer of North Carolina and the late Dr. Roger Baldwin and the late Gerard C. Book Sr.

Born March 2, 1934, in Staten Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Philip and Margaret (Casey) Coady.

A graduate of St. Peter’s High School, Staten Island, she was a business owner, and a child care provider.

She loved walking and dancing and had great fun using it as a way to stay healthy.

She also loved her dogs but most of all she loved her family gatherings, especially for the holidays and vacations she shared with her children and grandchildren.

One of her most favorite things to do was giving “Just Because Gifts” as a way of saying “I love you” to the moon and stars and back again.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Pinehurst, N.C. and a former member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

She has our hearts and will be missed. Rest in Peace, Mom.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by children Deborah L. Book Prato (James) of Broad Brook, Conn., Patricia A. Moller (Robert) of Lebanon, N.J., Gerard C. “Jay” Book Jr. of Allentown, Ellenpat Book Cozze (John) of Orefield, Tara M. Book of Allentown, Shannon K. Anastasi (Michael) of Lebanon, N.J., Richard D. Book of Bethlehem, Megan E. Bauer (Scott) of Schnecksville, and Shauna C. Book of Easton; brother Philip Coady (Betty Ann) of Wash.; sister Suzanne Mertlick of Neb.; 27 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by daughters Suzette E. Selvaggi and Molly Book and siblings Thomas Coady and Margaret Robinson.
