John (Jack) R. Jones, 89, of Whitehall, formerly of Emmaus, and Venice, Fla., died Feb. 6, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Dolores (Conrad) Jones for 67 years. Born in Chester, he was a son of the late Lester G. and Kathryn (Cullen) Jones.

He was employed by Coca Cola USA, retiring in 1989 after 33 years.

He was active in Emmaus sports, coaching, encouraging and guiding young athletes.

He played basketball for P.S. DuPont High School, Wilmington, Del. and Goldey Beacom Business School.

He was inducted into the Delaware Legends Hall of Fame in 2010.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Jack, of Whitehall; a daughter, Janice and her husband, Chris Keating, of Macungie; granddaughters, Corryn Keating and Ciara; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, J. Robert.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 12 in the funeral home.
