Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will hold a collection 10 a.m.-noon Feb. 11 for the Catasauqua Community Food Bank.

Drop off nonperishable food items and/or monetary gifts in the church parking lot.

Additionally, Presbyterian Church is collecting monetary donations for the month of February in the Leave Your Change containers.

Your donations will help support Peaceable Kingdom animal shelter in Whitehall.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., offers takeout soup 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesdays through the end of March.

It will be handed out at no charge to anyone who comes.

Volunteers are needed, and there are opportunities to help. Three people are needed each week to prepare the soup, and two people are needed each week to help distribute it. Volunteers should be at the church by 3:30 p.m.

You can also make a cash donation to help pay for soup supplies. There will be a basket in the back of the church for this or put an envelope marked Soup on Wednesdays in the offering plate.

You can also share a favorite hearty soup recipe that can easily be made in quantity.

The deadline to place an order for Holy Trinity’s meatloaf takeout dinner is Feb. 13. The event is set for Feb. 19.

For tickets, call Janis at 610-440-0073. Proceeds will benefit the Public Library of Catasauqua.
