Barbara M. North, 84, of Coplay, died Feb. 4, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Charles E. North for 16 years.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Julia (Gyori) Moditch.

She was a Slatington High School graduate.

She worked for many years at A&P Superfresh until she retired.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, where she volunteered, especially for church functions.

She is survived by a daughter, Connie and her husband Ronald Vickery of Quakertown; two grandchildren, Megan and her husband Brett Peterson and Steven Vickery and his wife Lori; a great-grandson, Lars; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Kristin, Noah and Mckenna; and a stepgreat-great-grandson, Beckham.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard Phillipeck; a son, Thomas Phillipeck; three brothers, Edward, Morris and Albert; and three sisters, Dorothy, Lillian and Carolyn.

There will be a visitation 9-10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., both Feb. 11 at the church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay, 18037.
