Violet M. (Krantiz) Kies, 86, of Bethlehem, died Feb. 4, 2022, in the care of Phoebe, Allentown. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Donchez) Krantiz.

She was a secretary for Bethlehem Steel and later was a title clerk for Dick Milhem before she retired.

She is survived by a daughter, Terri Savacool and husband Michael of Macungie; a son, Dennis and his wife Joan of Danielsville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Grady; a brother, Joseph Krantiz; and a sister, Vilma Roman.
