Weapon on school property
A student at Lower Macungie Middle School, 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, found a single Winchester Super-X .22LR bullet while exiting the school, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 2:17 p.m. Jan. 24. There was no video surveillance of the location where the bullet was found. The incident remains under investigation.
Criminal mischief
A concrete donkey statue, valued at $500, was damaged at a location in the 8000 block of Heritage Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 11:25 a.m. Dec. 27, 2021.
Two residents of the 5800 block of Tova Circle, Lower Macungie Township, reported unknown people were on their property 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
DUI crash
A 19-year-old male, of Red Hill, allegedly was driving under the influence of marijuana when he ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle at the intersection of Church View Road and Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, 7:18 p.m. Jan. 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A 17-year-old male, who was a passenger in the vehicle, allegedly got out of the vehicle and attempted to dispose of two ounces of marijuana in a nearby wooded area. The passenger is to be charged with possession and tampering with evidence.
A 32-year-old male, of Pennsburg, was found to be allegedly driving under the influence after state police responded to a one-vehicle crash at Dillingersville Road and Limeport Pike, Lower Milford Township, 2:23 a.m. Jan. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Identity theft
A resident of the 4500 block of Belmont Drive, Lower Macungie Township, discovered her personal information was used to open a Verizon account and order four Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max cellphones, each phone valued at $1,199.99, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The cellphones were turned in to Verizon and the account was closed. The incident was reported 5 p.m. Jan. 12.
A resident of Notch Street, Lower Macungie Township, discovered a fraudulent AT&T account was opened and a phone was purchased using her personal information, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 16.
DUI
A 20-year-old female, of Emmaus, was placed under arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at the intersection of East Main Street and Klines Lane, Emmaus borough, 3:03 a.m. Jan. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 40-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at U.S. Route 222 North/North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:27 p.m. Dec. 10, 2021, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 34-year-old male, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 2200 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 5:50 p.m. Dec. 31, 2021, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A motorist was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after troopers were dispatched for a vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks at West Main Street and Race Street, Macungie borough, 9:40 p.m. Jan. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 31-year-old male, of Bristol, was allegedly driving under the influence on Interstate 78 West, Lower Macungie Township, 1:56 a.m. Jan. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft by deception
A resident of East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, invested $80,000 with a fraudulent cryptocurrency company between Jan. 2 and Jan. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A resident of Whitemarsh Drive, Lower Macungie Township, discovered her personal information was used to open a Dell credit card and purchase a computer valued at $4,042, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 11:58 a.m. Jan. 13.
Harassment
A 13-year-old male, of Coopersburg and a 13-year-old male, of Bethlehem, were arrested for alleged harassment after state police responded to a fight in the 7000 block of Cymun Drive, Lower Milford Township, 2 a.m. Jan. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Accidents
A 19-year-old motorist, of Holtsville, N.Y., escaped injury when his vehicle flipped onto its side along Powder Valley Road, Upper Milford Township, 3:59 p.m. Jan. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was traveling south at a high rate of speed when the motorist lost control on the wet roadway. The vehicle veered off the road and hit a pole before overturning. Detwiler’s Towing also responded.
A 25-year-old motorist, of Pennsburg, escaped injury when his sport utility vehicle spun and struck a tree in the 9600 block of Kings Highway South, Lower Milford Township, 7:23 a.m. Jan. 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was northbound when he lost control of his vehicle on a patch of ice. Ricky’s Towing also responded.
A 54-year-old male, of Macungie, escaped injury when his vehicle struck a utility pole on East Main Street, just north of Kings Highway North, Upper Milford Township, 9:37 p.m. Jan. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Found property
An employee at Holiday Inn Allentown-Bethlehem, 4325 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, found a plastic bag containing white powder, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 1:10 p.m. Jan. 16.
Retail theft
A 56-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly removed $535.93 in merchandise from Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Dec. 27, 2021, including two jackets, T-shirts, a massager, dog food, a curling iron and other items, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 41-year-old male, of Macungie, was taken into custody for alleged retail theft after an incident in the 7100 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 11:11 a.m. Jan. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
An unknown male allegedly removed 12 items of clothing, with a total value of $328.67, from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 10:30 and 11:12 p.m. Dec. 18, 2021, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The suspect allegedly removed the items by altering merchandise tags and under ringing items. The male was described as leaving the area in a gray Cadillac.
A 38-year-old female, of Belford, N.J., allegedly placed items into bags in several incidents between Jan. 12 and 21 at Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilon Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, and left the store without paying for the items, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The merchandise is valued at approximately $245.
Theft of motor vehicle
A 2018 four-wheeler was removed from a location in the 7000 block of Mountain Road, Lower Macungie Township, between Dec. 11 and Dec. 13, 2021, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
