John A. David, 72, of Wind Gap, died on January 25, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Albert and Emma (Solderitz) David.He was an SP45 in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was the husband of Debra S. (Houck) for 34 years.
He was a foreman in the Iron Foundry of Bethlehem Steel for 30 years. He was a shop steward. He was the owner -operator of John David Concrete, Wind Gap, for 15 years until he retired in 2010.
He was a member of the Wind Gap American Legion Post #724 and the TriBoro Sportsmen Club, Northampton. He was a former member, vice-president and sergeant at arms of the Plainfield Riding Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, John A. Jr. of Northampton and James and Shane A. of both of Wind Gap; three grandchildren, Zachary, Jared and Katherine; two sisters, Janet Saganowich and husband Stanley of Coplay and Mary Horn of Albrightsville; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Albert David.
