Scholarship competition Feb. 5

Cedar Crest College will hold its 13 annual Scholarship Competition Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 5. Invited HS students will compete for a four-year, full-tuition and other scholarships.

The three-hour exam includes multiple-choice and true-false questions covering the arts, mathematics, science and the humanities and a writing component. The top five finalists will advance to the interview portion of the competition. The winner will be notified and announced the following week.

Participants finishing in 11-25 place will receive a $4,000 scholarship over four years ($1,000 per year); six through 10 place will receive a $6,400 scholarship over four years ($1,600 per year); and second through fifth place will receive an $8,000 scholarship over four years ($2,000 per year). The winner will receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship.www.
