Black History Spotlight: Poetry and Dance. Reading of “Change Sings: a Children’s Anthem” by Inaugural and National Youth Poet Laureate and activist Amanda Gorman. Each participant receives a Change Sings packet. Featured subjects: Janet Collins, the first African American prima ballerina, and Misty Copeland, first African American Female Principal Dancer with the American Ballet Theatre. Participants will learn basic ballet steps with a dance student from L.V. Charter Arts High School. No registration required. Masks are a must for ages two and up. 11 a.m. to noon.
