NIHM EXHIBIT: The Works of a Mechanical Genius: legacy of Bethlehem’s General Superintendent and Chief Engineer John Fritz. CANCER SUPPORT: Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley launched on Jan. 31 a bi-monthly Image Recovery Program, sponsored by the Ryan Family Foundation. The program is designed to help women, men and children improve their body image and sense of self during and after cancer therapy. Topics include one-on-one support in; nutrition; fitness; post-surgical garment services; psychosocial support; and education focused on oral hygiene, skin care, hair care, holistic practices and other areas. LEHIGH VALLEY ACTIVE LIFE (for seniors): Tuesdays, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22: Good Vibrations Chorus led by Nancy Shumaker. All singers welcome.

Thursdays, 9 to 10:30 a.m. February: “Lehigh Valley Pops Orchestra” rehearsals with director George Fennell. For persons who know how to play an instrument. The orchestra performs at places throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Fridays, 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25: “Elm Street Jazz” jazz band workshop led by Allan Meyerson. Join if you play an instrument and want to explore Jazz.

HEALTH SCREENINGS: Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center currently offers sexual health screenings for HIV and Hepatitis C through a partnership with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), and now, Allentown Health Bureau has added screening for syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia every first and third Tuesday of the month from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, located at 522 West Maple Street in Allentown. PHILY GARDEN SHOW: The Philly Home + Garden Show returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks for three days only from Friday, Feb. 25 to 27. Attendees will find new inspiration, innovative products, helpful tips, and amazing deals in remodeling, home improvements, décor, and outdoor spaces with opportunities to connect with hundreds of home and garden experts.
