LHS swim teams win again
The Liberty Hurricanes swam away with their home meet against the Easton Red Rovers last Thursday when the Hurricane girls won by a score of 113-73, and the Hurricane boys won by a score of 120-56.
Sarah Park, Morgan Muller, Brooke Sergent, and Chelsea Hearn combined to win the 200 medley relay in 2:00.73, and Corbin Eisenhardt, Malcolm Collins, David Gabrielle, and Danny Lehr teamed together to win the same event in 1:45.53.
Immediately afterward, Sergent returned to the water and won the 200 freestyle in 2:08.34, and Patrick Gilhool competed in the same event, his first of the day, to take first place in 1:48.09.
Addison Collins also won his first event of the day, the 200 IM, with a time of 2:00.17, and Lehr placed first in the 50 free in 23.07.
Sergent won the 100 butterfly in 1:01.26, and Gilhool was also first in the fly with a time of 51.58.
Eisenhardt sprinted to first place on the 100 free in 51.44, and distance winners in the 500 free were Julia Pinter with a time of 5:49.23 and Addison Collins with a time of 5:02.54.
Sydney Taylor, Hearn, Park, and Sergent gained first place points in the 200 free relay in 1:48.75, and Gilhool, Caleb Stein, Addison Collins, and Eisenhardt did the same for the Hurricane boys with a time of 1:30.50.
Pinter won the 100 backstroke in 1:09.62, and Lehr was first in the same event with a time of 55.21.
Two more Hurricanes won the 100 breaststroke, Muller with a time of 1:17.08 and Malcolm Collins with a time of 1:02.23.
Liberty shut down Easton in the 400 free relay with Pinter, Monica Bruno, Muller, and Taylor’s first place time of 4:19.72, and a winning time of 3:22.37 for Gilhool, Addison Collins, Lehr, and Stein.
The Hurricanes will have taken on Parkland on Tuesday, past Press deadlines, before hosting Pocono Mountain West on Thursday.
