·Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, Fountain Hill and South Whitehall, need auxiliary members. This group raises money to purchase special items for residents throughout the year. New members and will begin having monthly meetings in 2022.

·Greater Valley YMCA is seeking community volunteers for the “Read With Me” guest reader project. Volunteers will go to one of the branches in Allentown or Slate Belt 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to read a nutrition education-based kids book to a child-care classroom and participate in a nutrition-based activity with the children. All books and activity materials are provided. Minimum age 16. Suitable for a group of two.

·Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem, is looking for volunteers to assist with food prep, serving and interacting with our seniors, and keeping kitchen space neat and organized. No habla español? No problemo! We can teach you, too! Three volunteers are needed 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday to Friday for the kitchen area.

·Miller-Keystone Blood Center, Allentown, needs volunteers at the Cedar Crest Donor Center to give out snacks with a smile while monitoring donors to be sure they are doing well after donating. Shifts available are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, or 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mondays. This requires a 1.5-hour orientation and free Pennsylvania state clearances. No community service hours.

·Northeast Community Center, Bethlehem is seeking Spanish speaking tutors to assist students during our After-School Homework Club 3-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Students range in age from 6- to 13-years-old. All volunteers must complete background checks, wear face masks and be vaccinated for COVID-19.

·Turning Point of Lehigh Valley is looking for a group of three to four people with two minivan, SUVs or pickup trucks to pick up and load orders on the second Tuesday of every month at Second Harvest Food Bank, Nazareth, between 12-3 p.m. and then drop off at a location about 15 miles toward the Bethlehem area and unload.

·The Whole Life Center, Easton needs strong volunteers 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to help unload the truck from Sam’s Club, weigh each box, put food in freezers or fridge, then reload truck for additional deliveries. Maximum group of four and all volunteers must be over age 18 and under 65.

·Center for Animal Health and Welfare, Easton, is seeking volunteers to walk dogs, assist with morning cleanings, attend off site events to promote the shelter, cat and dog enrichment and general shelter help.
