Allentown’s?Department of Parks and Recreation?is offering monthly lifeguard certification classes to expand opportunities for individuals to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Certifications.

Classes will run on the following dates: Feb. 4-6, March 4-6, April 1-3 and May 6-8.

Classes are open to anyone at least age 15.

Registration for a class is online at allentownparksandrec.com.

There are lifeguarding job opportunities available for the 2022 summer season with a starting pay rate of $14 per hour.

Lifeguard applicants must be at least 16.??
