Elizabeth J. Bobbin
Elizabeth J. “Rose” Bobbin, 88, formerly of Maple Street, Allentown, died Jan. 21, 2022, in DevonHouse Senior Living, Allentown.
She was the wife of the late Francis J. Bobbin who died in 2007.
Born Aug. 30, 1933, in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Francis John Raiwski and Elizabeth (Scholl) Raiwski Gwaizdowski.
She was a loan officer at the former AB Bellco Credit Union, Allentown, for 20 years before retiring.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.
A life member of Northern Valley EMS, she formerly volunteered her time there.
She loved to play bingo; and participated in a bowling league for many years, served as league president and won first-place two consecutive years.
Her family, especially her grandchildren brought her great joy.
She and her late husband participated in the Bell Telephone Pioneers Special Olympics.
She indicated in a written note, she will miss her family immensely and will be watching from the Heavenly realm.
Her survivors include children Terry Bobbin (Patricia) of North Carolina, Scott Bobbin (Amanda) of Malta, Kathy L. Troxell (Carey) of Slatington, Bryan K. Bobbin (Brenda) of Royersford, and Patti A. Hutchinson of Quakertown; stepbrother Benjamin Gwiazdowski of Nanticoke; stepsister Marilee Reed of Texas; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings Gabrielle Anthony, Joan Baker and John Gwaizdowski.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Allentown. There will be no public calling hours.
