William H. Mitchell Jr. died Jan. 10, 2022, at St. Luke’s, Bethlehem, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Maria Mitchell.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Gaetana and the late William Mitchell Sr.

He was a 1975 Northampton High School graduate.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army.

He retired from LaFarge in 2017.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Jane Deaver with Stu; four sons, Jarrod, Neko, Kaden and Broc; two daughters, Thea with Bryan and Christi with Zack; and extended family.
