John J. Schneider, 82, of Northampton, died Jan. 17, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Patricia (Lalik) for 52 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John E. and Marie (Kyra) Schneider.

He was a Northampton High School graduate.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.

He was a safety inspector for Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He retired in 1998.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.

He was a member of the American Legion.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Michelle Hirsch and her husband Karl, Denise Schuon and her husband Mark and Lisa Mazzie and her husband Joseph; and 10 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mark Jr., Kristin, Brandon, Kyle, Evan, Jonathan, Anna, Stephanie and Karly.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frederick; and three sisters, Lorraine Yapsuga and Elaine and Rosalie Schneider.
