County leaders take oaths

In near-simultaneous ceremonies Jan. 3, Lehigh County politicians took oaths of offices to begin their elected roles.

COVID-19 sidelined Lehigh County Commissioner Zach Cole-Borghi, keeping him from attending the ceremony in person.

Commissioner Jeffery Dutt had previously taken his oath because he has already served as a commissioner; however, Jan. 3 marked the start of his first elected term.

Amy Zanelli gave up her commissioner seat when she was elected a magisterial judge for District 31-01-06, which covers Wards 10, 11, 12 and 13 in West Bethlehem and Fountain Hill.

Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong started his second term.
