AMERICAN RED CROSS PA RIVERS CHAPTER, Allentown needs team members to help save lives and prevent injury using our Prepare with Pedro program. The 30-45-minute presentation provides emergency preparedness education to youth in grades K-2 (ages 4-7) in school classrooms and other settings. CEDARBROOK SENIOR CARE AND REHAB - Fountain Hill & Allentown invites you to become a member of our auxiliary. This wonderful group raises money to purchase special things for our residents throughout the year. It’s easy to join and fun to be a part of this amazing group. INDEPENDENT TRANSPORTATION NETWORK LEHIGH VALLEY provides 24/7 door through door ride service for seniors aged 60 and over and visually impaired adults to any destination in the Lehigh Valley. We need volunteer drivers to help us with the increasing demand for rides. All rides in Lehigh Valley only. Drive when and where you want. No minimum hours required. MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER, Allentown needs volunteers at our Cedar Crest Donor Center to give out snacks with a smile while monitoring donors to be sure they are doing well after donating. The two shifts available are from 10am-1pm on Saturdays, or from 7:30-11 a.m. Mondays. This does require a 1.5-hour orientation and (free) PA state clearances. No community service hours. NORTHEAST COMMUNITY CENTER, Bethlehem is seeking Spanish speaking tutors to assist students during our After-School Homework Club 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Students range in age from 6 to 13 years old. All volunteers must complete background checks, wear face masks and be vaccinated for COVID-19. THE CENTER FOR ANIMAL HEALTH & WELFARE, Easton can take up to two volunteers per shift to help get the dog area ready for the day. Shifts are 8:30-10:30 a.m. & 1-3 p.m. every day. THIRD STREET ALLIANCE FOR WOMEN & CHILDREN, Easton needs volunteers to help shovel our sidewalks in front of our buildings, side, and rear as well as porch steps and school entrances. We have our own salt supply and a few shovels, but volunteers can bring their own. Please contact us to be on our “On Call” list when we experience snowfall that needs to be removed. TURNING POINT OF LEHIGH VALLEY is looking for a group of three-to-four people with two minivans/SUVs/pickup trucks to pick up and load our order on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Second Harvest Food Bank in Nazareth between 12-3 p.m. and then drop off at a location about 15 miles towards the Bethlehem area and unload.
