Richard A. Lauchnor
Richard A. “Rick” Lauchnor, 62, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Orefield, died suddenly Jan. 9, 2022, in Nashville.
He was the loving husband of Deborah A. (Pope) Lauchnor.
Born June 7, 1959, in Allentown, he was the son of Richard C. and Marilyn J. (Gaal) Lauchnor of Schnecksville.
He was a 1977 graduate of Parkland High School where he was a scholar athlete lettering in baseball, basketball and football.
In 1981, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dartmouth College, where he was a proud member of the Theta Delta Chi fraternity.
He continued his education and received his Master’s degree in business administration from New York University in 1987.
He had a career in finance for more than 35 years, retiring in 2018 from FTSE Russell.
In his early days, he was an avid runner, completing several marathons, including the New York City Marathon.
He always enjoyed traveling the world and collecting memorabilia from his adventures.
More recently, he and his wife attended many country music concerts and festivals.
Time at home was spent with his wife and beloved golden retrievers.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, he is survived by brothers Jaison D. Lauchnor and his wife, Rosanne, of Allentown, and John C. Lauchnor and his wife, Karen, of Miramar Beach, Fla.; nieces Alexandra Lauchnor Mastromartino, Morgan Lauchnor, Anna Lauchnor and Brooke Lauchnor; and fur babies Ziva and Gibbs.
A celebration of his life will be 10:30 a.m. Jan. 22 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
Family and friends may pay their respects 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
