Glenn F. Schaeffer, 69, of New Tripoli, died Jan. 13, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of Nancy E. (Ginder) Glabis-Schaeffer.

Born Sept. 27, 1952, at the Bloomsburg Fair, Columbia County, he was the son of the late Floyd H. and Althea A. (Clauser) Schaeffer.

He retired from Mesko Spotting Services Inc., Allentown, in 2019.

Before that, he was a truck driver for multiple companies in the Lehigh Valley.

Since his formal retirement, he worked at The Home Depot, Allentown.

Active in the life of his community, he was a lifetime member of both Community Fire Company, No. 1, New Tripoli, and Goodwill Fire Company, No. 1, Germansville, and a member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli.

He was a former member of the Mopar Madness Car Club and the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Slatington.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Gregory C. Schaeffer (Brandy) of Germansville; daughter Lori L. Glass (Matthew) of Slatington; stepsons Clayton Glabis of Bethlehem, Ross Glabis (Jessica) of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Cole Glabis of New Tripoli; brother Norman R. Schaeffer (Robin) of Perryville; sisters Barbara E. Green (Jeff) of Slatington, Mary Alice Hockenberry (Mike) of Chambersburg, and Joyce R. Schaeffer of the Poconos; grandsons Zach, Gavin and Hunter; nieces, nephews; and godchildren.

He was predeceased by brother, David A. Schaeffer.

His service will be private. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
