Elizabeth J. “Betty” Gruber, 94, of Emmaus, died Jan. 14, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Carlton H. Gruber.

She worked for the laundromat at the corner of Sixth and Chestnut streets for many years.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus, where she served as sexton for 24 years.

She is survived by a son, Phillip C. and his wife, Susan, of Emmaus; a daughter, Phyllis Ann, of Emmaus; step-grandsons, David and Michael Baun; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a step-granddaughter, Lisa Binkley.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 19 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
