Donald C. Kuntz

Donald C. Kuntz, 86, of Schnecksville, died Jan. 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice, Allentown.

He and his wife, Beatrice C. (Zwitkowits) Kuntz, were married 65 years.

Born March 15, 1935, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Donald B. and Dorothy M. (Andrews) Kuntz.

A 1953 graduate of William Allen High School, he played the trombone in the school band.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the National Guard and then U.S. Army during a peace time era.

He was an electrician at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 38 years before retiring in 1993.

He also concurrently owned K&K Electronics in Kuhnsville, Upper Macungie Township.

He served with a rank of captain in Communications Squadron 802 of the Civil Air Patrol for 50 years.

He was a life member of the Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville, and formerly served on the board of directors of the Schnecksville Community Fair.

He also formerly volunteered with NOVA Auxiliary and was an election watcher at NOVA for many years as well.

He loved cutting the grass, drinking his Moxie, and caring for his wife and family.

He will be remembered fondly for fixing anything and everything that was broken, carrying most of the tools he needed in his flannel shirt pocket.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children Donald C. Kuntz of Mt. Carmel, Barry C. Kuntz (Darlene), Tammy L. Burda, and Laura J. Spitko, all of Schnecksville; grandchildren George, Chelsea and Brittany; and great-grandchildren Hunter, Addison and Landon.

A memorial service will held at a later date. There will be no public calling hours.
