BETHLEHEM PALETTE CLUB: Member’s Juried Exhibition of Bethlehem Palette Club members’ art work through Feb. 13. Closing reception: 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 13. The Bethlehem City Hall Rotunda Gallery, 10 E. Church; open to the public 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays; closed weekends and holidays. Club membership is open to artists and those interested in the arts. 4-H SEEDLING SALE: The Northampton County 4-H program is once again sponsoring the annual seedling tree and fruit tree sale. The sale benefits the 4-H youth in the county and supports various programs throughout the year, including camps, fairs, trips, the annual achievement banquet and other club activities. NEW NIHM EXHIBIT: A new exhibit focusing on Bethlehem’s General Superintendent and Chief Engineer John Fritz is now on display at the National Museum of Industrial History. The Works of a Mechanical Genius: The Legacy of John Fritz explores the life and legacy of an innovative ironmaster who has been touted as a founder of the American Steel Industry, alongside names like Andrew Carnegie. Fritz built and oversaw operations at the Bethlehem Iron Company from 1860-1893. The Bethlehem Iron Works is described in engineering journals of the day as, “one of the most famous enterprises in the world - the Mecca of engineer-pilgrims from abroad and the pride and pattern of American practice.”
The exhibit marks the 200 anniversary of the birth of industrial pioneer and mechanical genius John Fritz. The display closes October 2022. National Museum of Industrial History. 602 E. IRISH HERITAGE EVENT: ArtsQuest is proud to present Sláinte, a celebration of Irish heritage March 17 through 20. This new four-day experience is being produced in partnership with Bethlehem’s Donegal Square/McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub.
Fiddles and whiskey will take center stage for four days during this festival focused on the music and traditions of the Emerald Isle. With several bands coming over from Ireland and traditional food and whiskey pairings supervised by Neville Gardner, owner and operator of Donegal Square/McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar, Sláinte will be an immersive experience taking the usual St. Patrick’s Day festivities to the next level.
Tickets for individual days and events, including VIP single malt whiskey tastings and a Sunday Irish Breakfast, will go on sale in the coming weeks. The festival, taking place at SteelStacks on the SouthSide of Bethlehem, will also feature a fiddle competition and musical performances. Confirmed bands include the traditional Irish music group Lúnasa and Irish folk band The Jeremiahs. A full lineup will be announced soon.

SOUPER BOWL RESCHEDULED: ArtsQuest’s Souper Bowl XII has been rescheduled for March 13. The annual culinary experience will still follow the same schedule and take place from noon - 3 p.m., in the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café, presented by Yuengling.
Tickets will be available for purchase on steelstacks.org. These passes will include early entry into the venue, a free drink ticket for any Yuengling beer, wine from Franklin Hills Vineyards, or a soft drink, plus automatic entry into a VIP only raffle for a chance to win a yearlong pass to the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas and a Yuengling beer cooler.
