Sandra J. Acker, 62, of New Tripoli, died Dec. 27, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of Robert Acker for the past 22 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Doris P. (Faust) Potzman.

A 1977 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, she had various employers over the years, but worked several years at the former Terry’s Place, New Smithville, Kutztown Manor and both the former Kistler’s and Schleicher’s Restaurants, New Tripoli.

She also worked for the transfer station in Lynn Township.

A member of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli, she also was a member of the Lynnport, Kempton and New Tripoli fire companies.

In the past, she volunteered and was a board member for the Lynnport Fire Company.

She had a passion for bingo, feeding the numerous deer that would come into the backyard, and she was a faithful viewer of The Young and the Restless since its debut in 1973.

She was known for her contagious laugh and her smile.

In addition to her loving husband, her survivors include a daughter Amanda D., wife of Kenneth Seibert Jr., of New Tripoli; stepdaughter Jessica Lloyd of Schnecksville, and her furbaby, Mask; grandchildren Mary, Ashlyn, Kayden, Molly, Kolten and her fur grandbaby Cora; sisters Marilyn (Frank) Egner of Emmaus, Shirley (Newell “Buddy”) Arnold of Mohrsville, and Judith (Michael) Weaver of Laureldale.

She was predeceased by her son, Gary G. “Butch” Brobst Jr. and her brother, Robert A. Potzman Jr.

There will be a celebration of life to honor and remember her on Jan. 15 at the Lynnport Community Fire Company, 7164 Behler Road, New Tripoli.

Doors open 11:30 a.m. Memorial starts at noon.

A luncheon will follow and then a social gathering.
