Phyllis M. Meckes, 89, of Lehighton, died Jan. 2, 2022, at the Summit at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Meckes.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Albert Sr. and Joyce (Leiby) Bartholomew.

She worked for 10 years as a film inspector for the former Guardian Photo of Allentown before retiring in 1987.

She was a member of Greenawalds United Church of Christ, Allentown.

She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Rose Croix Chapter 235, Northampton.

She is survived by a son, Keith A. of Reading; three daughters, Cheryl J. and her husband Walter Garrett of Buena Vista, Va., Karin G. and her husband Alan Lowe of Lexington, Va., and Rochelle B. German and companion Joseph Arce of Allentown; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, David A. Lowe.
