Michele L. Hafner

Michele L. Hafner, 53, of Salisbury Township, died in her sleep in the early morning of Jan. 2, 2021. She was a daughter of James and Carolyn (Moser) Trobetsky.

She graduated from Salisbury High School in 1986.

She worked as an insurance claims representative for over 30 years, after which she pursued a career in welding. She was a month away from graduating from a local trade school when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2019. Despite enduring three rounds of treatment, a major surgery and physical therapy, she never lost her positive mindset or her sense of humor and she remained a source of love and unconditional support for everyone in her life.

She loved to walk, to be in nature, to travel, to dance (especially to old school Justin Timberlake), to write poetry and to run through dungeons and pick flowers in Skyrim. She was also an avid reader.

She is survived by sons, Ryan and Jeremy; a brother, Darron Trobetsky; a niece, Olivia (“Daisy”) Trobetsky; a nephew, Dylan (“George”) Trobetsky; father; many cousins.

Memorial donations online may be made in her name to the Lehigh Valley Health Network Topper Cancer Institute at www.give.lvhn.org.

It was her wish to be cremated and have her ashes spread in some of her favorite places around the world. She also requested that no funeral be held. Instead, the family will be hosting a gathering to celebrate her memory at a later date.
