Lois C. Ahner, 88, of Whitehall, died Dec. 31, 2021, in Fellowship Manor. She was the wife of the late Dale W. Ahner for 33 years.

Born in Jim Thorpe, she was a daughter of the late Josiah D. and Senora E. (Campbell) Fisher.

She was a 1954 graduate of Allentown Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse and supervisor for more than 26 years at the former Allentown State Hospital. Later in life, she became a hospice nurse for the VNA of Bethlehem.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mickleys, where she was an elder, trustee and member of the consistory.

She is survived by a daughter, Loree Jarvis, with whom she resided; a son, Donald W. Laury Jr. of Nevada; a grandson, Nicholas Josiah Jarvis with wife Kaitlin and their son Archer Dale Patrick Jarvis; and a granddaughter, Aisha Dawn Laury.
