Frank P. Leitgeb, 97, formerly of Coplay, died Dec. 29, 2021, at Above and Beyond at the Knights, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Antoinette “Toni” Leitgeb for 49 years.
Born in Austria, he was a son of the late Anton and Theresa Leitgeb.
He was a skilled mechanic in the construction department at PP&L Electric for 15 years before retiring in 1986. Earlier, he was a silo operator in Lehigh Portland Cement pack house for 27 years.
He was a member, contributor and usher at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall. He was a member of Holy Name Society.
He coached girls softball for Coplay Sports and bowled for many years. He was a life member of the Coplay Saengerbund.
He is survived by three daughters, Antoinette H. Gooch and her husband Richard, Jean M. Gailie and her husband Ken and Fran F. Kohlbrenner; two granddaughters, Keira and Kalli Kohlbrenner; a great-grandson, Antonio; a sister, Frieda T. Scherr; nieces; and nephews.
There will be a visitation 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service 10:30 a.m., Jan. 22 at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay.
