Douglas C. Urffer, 67, of Macungie, died Jan. 5, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown campus. He was the husband of Diane M. (Lorish) “DeeDee” Urffer for 40 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Betty Jane (Nuss) Urffer, of Emmaus and the late Carl F. Urffer.
He was a 1972 graduate of Emmaus High School.
He worked and later owned and operated Carl Urffer and Sons Floor Covering, Inc., Emmaus, for 50 years, retiring in 2016.
He was a former baseball coach for Union Terrace Athletic Club.
He is survived by his wife; mother; son, Nicholas Carl Redfurn, of Baltimore, Md.; daughter, Victoria Jean and her husband, John Detweiler, of Allentown; four grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.
In lieu of flowers, a tree can be planted in a national forest at alivingtribute.org.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
