Cynthia A. Malast, 62, of Coplay, died Jan. 3, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Richard E. Malast of Coplay for 40 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late William Owen II and Shirley (Mackes) Loy.

She was a William Allen High School graduate.

She helped at the family restaurant, Samuel Owens Restaurant and Bar, Coplay. She and her husband owned and operated Auto, Truck, Van and R.V. Accessories, Cementon from 1978 to 2007.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cheyanne Malast of Coplay; four siblings, Richard Loy of Slatington, Michael Loy of Slatington, William Loy III of Coplay and Debbie Abbott-Loy of Bangor; a granddaughter, Norah Kern; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Jesse William Malast.

Services will be private.
