Barbara Fay Rohrbach

Barbara Fay Rohrbach, 82, died Dec. 17, 2021. She was the wife of the late Ernie Rohrbach for 45 years. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Rose Schmaldinst. When she and her siblings entered adulthood, her parents offered their land to them and their spouses to build a home which they did nestled in an idyllic wooded area surrounded by family.

She had a particular sweet spot for children. She ran a daycare out of her home for many years and treated all of the children she watched as her own.

She loved tending her garden and caring for the many birds who called her yard home. Whether enjoying time with her family relaxing around the dining table or chatting with friends on the back porch, she welcomed visitors with open arms, a big smile and a warm hello.

She looked forward to clambakes, picnics and family gatherings each year. She loved spending time with her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She could bake like nobody’s business and made the best whoopie pies on the planet.

She is survived by children Ernie (Dawn), Eric, Lisa, Lori (Russ), Chris (Stacie); grandchildren, Tina (Andy), Nick, Adam (Lauren), Kyle, Tabitha (Taylor), Russell, Aaron, Brandon, Siena, Sage, David, Jim (Jamie), Erin (Luke); great-grandchildren, Montana, Madelyne, Mason, Mekena, Mekiyah, Caleb, Sammy, Emily, Molly, Abigail, Lucy, Gage, Kinley, Justin, Kyle, Sabrina (Christopher), Shane, Skyla, Sabella, Angelica, Jeffery; siblings, Theresa (Leroy), Richard (Cindy). She was predeceased by siblings, Raymond (Shirley), Rose (Bill), Elsie (Mark) and Dorothy (Jim).

Contributions may be made to the National MS Society, the American Cancer Society and/or St. Peters Place or St. Peter’s Union Church in her name.
