Angela Koshuta Chnapko, 86, of Emmaus, died at home Nov. 19, 2021. She was the wife of Joseph Chnapko for 63 years. Born in Lansford, she was the daughter of Anna and Wash Koshuta and the fourth of seven children.
She was salutatorian of her high school class and a flutist.
She worked in the office of the Coaldale Mining Company and at Pennsylvania State University’s anthropology department while her husband was in school. She would later work as a teacher’s aide at St. Ann School in Emmaus.
She loved music and art, was a voracious consumer of news and was active in the St. Ann Women’s Alliance.
She was grace, love, patience, acceptance and warmth. To be with her always felt like home and it was the greatest gift.
She is survived by her husband; children, Joseph Robert, Jeffrey Joseph and Angela Kara; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Heidi Evelyn, Mary Catherine and Lily Beatrice; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann; a brother, George; a sister-in-law, Virginia Marie. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Joseph; siblings, Michael, John, Helen, Nicholas; a brother-in-law, Bernard.
Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Emmaus.
