Grace Lutheran Church offers food give-away

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, offers its free community meal as a drive-up option. The next meal will be 4-5:30 p.m. Jan. 14.
Grace Lutheran Church offers a contactless outdoor drive-up Grace Food Cupboard Give-Away. The next dates for the food cupboard are 2:30-4 p.m. Jan. 25 or 28. Food distributions are open to anyone. There will also be a weekly supplemental distribution of bread, baked goods and dairy noon-1 p.m. Jan. 5, 19 and 26. On Jan. 12 the distribution will include canned goods and will be held noon-4 p.m. Both events take place in the parking lot; signs will be posted. The supplemental distribution is open to anyone.
Grace Lutheran Church offers a 10:30 a.m. worship service which is both in person and online at the same time. An adult Bible study will be held 9:15 a.m. Participants are asked to wear masks. The Ancient Oaks Women’s Organization will hold a meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at St. Paul’s UCC in Trexlertown for a bunco game.

Macungie Borough offices are now open to the public. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information, call 610-966-2503.
Macungie Borough Council has resumed regular in person public meetings at the Macungie Institute. The next meetings will be 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17 and Feb. 7.
Concordia Lutheran Preschool will have a registration day open house to enroll students for the 2022-2023 school year 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 17. The staff will give tours and accept registration. For more information, call 610-965-3265.
Cash bingo is held weekly Saturday evenings at Macungie Memorial Park. Doors open 4:30 p.m. and games begin 6:30 p.m. Attendance is limited to 60 people; seating is spaced for distancing. Christmas trees should be placed at the curb for pickup by the borough Jan. 10 for recycling at the Emmaus Compost Center. All ornaments, lights and tinsel must be removed.
The Macungie Park Board of Directors meeting will be held 4 p.m. Jan. 25.
