Associate Pastor Kayli Freeman of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, reports youth from five congregations spent a cold November night in the grove to raise awareness for the problem that is homelessness.
She said the youth left the comfort of their own homes to experience the cold, dampness and hunger which is a reality for homeless people.
The sleep-out project raised $1,000 for the Lehigh Conference of Churches and their outreach program for the homeless.
Pastor Kayli says she is looking forward to 2022 with hope and dreams - dreams not only for individual lives but for what the youth group can accomplish in the new year.

Union Lutheran Church youth had a busy fall season of service and fellowship.
They assisted at the Mortgage Burning Celebration, Trunk or Treat, and the basket raffle.
They helped Chef Terry prepare food for church events and had some great time together to cook a breakfast feast and roast hot dogs over a campfire.
