State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, has announced veterans assistance appointments are available Jan. 14 in his district office in the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building, 3402 Brookside Road.

Mackenzie offers this free service on the second Friday of each month.

Veterans or their dependents may schedule an in-person meeting with a service officer from the American Legion to discuss issues and have questions answered about benefits and programs for which they may be eligible.

Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these free services.

Anyone interested in scheduling an appointment with a service officer should call Mackenzie’s office at 610-965-9933.

Appointments are necessary as space is limited.
