Catasauqua Middle School posted a reminder Jan. 2 on its Facebook page for parents/guardians regarding monitoring your child’s symptoms daily. In the post, there is a list of symptoms to look out for and other information regarding COVID-19 safety protocols.

Mark your calendar for these upcoming dates: Schools will be closed Jan. 17 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Jan. 24 for a teacher in-service day. CMS students will be dismissed noon Feb. 2. Also, schools will be closed Feb. 18-21 for the Presidents Day holiday.

CMS is seeking two fifth- through eighth-grade yearlong building substitute teachers, at a daily rate of $130. Appropriate certifications are required. Send a letter of interest, resume and standard Pennsylvania application to humanresources@cattysd.org.

Expected delivery of the CMS faculty and staff cookbook is mid-February. Profits from this fundraiser directly benefit the CMS students.
