Willard Bruce Richards, 67, of Palmerton, died Dec. 25, 2021, in St. Luke’s Carbon County campus, Lehighton.
He was the husband of Brenda Lee (Hinkle) Richards.
Born May 23, 1954, in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Willard “Huck” and Constance E. (Lesher) Richards.
He was a cable/service technician for Pencor Services Inc., Lehighton, for 25 years before retiring in 2016.
An accomplished musician, he was a founding band member of “The Captives,” with which he played the guitar and sang lead vocals.
He was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Palmerton.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Randy L. Mack and his wife, Jill, of Palmerton; niece Jennifer Henry and her husband, Levi, of Grand Junction, Colo.; nephews Clayton Richards and his wife, Heidi, and their children Craig, of Colorado, and Bill Richards and his wife, Nicole, and their children of Santa Fe, Texas.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey C. Richards.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Jan. 8 in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11:00 a.m. Saturday in the church.
Interment will be the next day at Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton.
