Stephen V. Phillips, 71, of Bethlehem, died December 19, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Cortland, New York, he was a son of the late Henry V. Phillips and Edna (Aungier) Phillips. He was the husband of Maureen L. (Sweeney) Phillips for 48 years.

He worked in banking for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Stephen Christopher and husband Richard Powell of Brooklyn, New York, Benjamin of Bethlehem and Matthew and husband Bradley Wentz of Stamford, Connecticut; a grandson, Luke Phillips Powell of Brooklyn, New York; and three siblings, Henry C. Phillips of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Mary Barhite of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Sandra A. King of Grand Island, New York.

He was predeceased by two brothers, John K. Aungier and Larkin James Aungier.
